Dancing the night away!
30/03/2011 by Anna.
Sally celebrated her big birthday by inviting her friends and family to a jive dance party in the stunning Tythe Barn in Tetbury.
When the guests arrived they were greeted by a life size version of Sally!
The kir royal flowed…
and the tables were set to stun.
After meeting and greeting guests the dancing began. Nicky and Jim from Swingbytes (www.swingbytes.co.uk) did a brilliant job of teaching some basic jive steps.
I used a mixture of flash and available light to give different effects. The flash is safer, but not so atmospheric as getting the blur of movement!
After the meal, which was of course burgers and chips, (American 1950’s diner food) Sally made a short speech. It was then time for dancing again with Sally leading the way…
This was a demonstration dance by some experts!
The evening was a great success with almost everyone dancing. I’m surprised not more of my images were blurred because it was very difficult to keep my feet still with the rock and roll music!
